    8. Add in half a cup of water and allow to cook on the stove. I say 1 hour is sufficient if you have really good pieces of lamb that softens easily; when I have time I allow it to stay on the stove for a good 2 hours on low heat.
    9. Add in salt and pepper to taste. I use black peppercorn.
    10. Once the lamb pieces are soft and tender; the lamb stew is ready for consumption! the stew will thicken over time, you can add in water or more wine as it boiles.
