    23. Prepare Black salt as per taste
    24. Get For the dry garlic chutney:
    25. Get 5-6 garlic cloves chopped coarsely
    26. Make ready 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
    27. Take 1/4 th cup roasted peanut
    28. Make ready 1 tbsp coriander seed
    29. Prepare 2 kashmiri red chili (whole)
    30. Get 2 tbsp oil
    31. Take Salt as per taste

    33. Get 8-10 pav (bread)

    The origin of this sandwich is the Indian state of Maharashtra. Vada Pav is therefore a potato patty in a bun garnished with delicious, hot, tangy, sweet chutneys and served piping hot. For convenience sake you can pre-make the potato mixture a day earlier. Vada Pav is an Indian slider made with lightly toasted pav buns stuffed with batata vada and flavored with various chutneys.

    Steps to make Vada Pav:

    1. Preparing Green Chutney: Grind everything in a blender with water until smooth paste is formed. Place it aside.
    2. Preparing Dry Garlic Chutney: Take little oil on a pan. Fry the garlic and red Kashmiri red chilliesfor 1-2 mins mins on low heat. Now add the desiccated coconut, roasted groundnut and coriander seeds.Saute for 2 mins and add salt. Blend all the ingredients together until coarse mixture is formed.Place it aside.
    3. Preparing Vada Filling: Take a big bowl and mix mashed potatoes, chopped green chilies,chat masala, garam masala, coriander powder, salt and chopped coriander leaves all together.Combine all nicely. Make medium sized balls.Place aside.
    4. Preparing the vadas: Prepare the batter by mixing all the ingredients. The batter should be smooth and thick enough to coat the vadas. Place a pan with oil on high heat. Once oil is hot reduce to medium. Dip the vadas in the batter and coat from all sides. Fry until golden brown and crisp from all sides. Slit the pav from center. Apply the green chutney on both sides of the pav and spread some dry garlic chutney inside. Place one vada in each pav.
    5. Serve hot with some chutney and sev.
    6. Tips: 1.)The batter has to be thick for the coating of vadas. Please don't add too much water. 2.)You can also use bread roll or slices if the pav is not available.
